Salmo Secondary Science Fair Showcased Over 80 Projects
On Thursday, March 12th, Salmo Secondary hosted a school-wide science fair, organized by Science teacher Tawny Methuen. The fair showcased over 80 projects from grades 7-11.
We were joined by Denise Flick, Leyton Schnellert, and the current secondary education WKTEP students, along with our school families, Salmo Elementary classes, the larger Salmo community, and the science class ferrets.
Winners took home ribbons and prize bags, including items donated from local businesses, including Salmo Esso, Skyway hardware, Salmo Valley Pharmacy, and the Junction Eatery.
A few of the projects will be going on to participate in the West Kootenay Regional Science Fair in Grand Forks on April 17th, which is a huge success as we have not had Salmo Secondary representation at the regional science fair in many years.
Great work everyone!
