Anti-racism and Cultural Safety

In late January, Salmo Secondary hosted the District Anti-Racism and Cultural Safety working group. Salmo Secondary was very well represented with students Nassali Mugerwa and Violet Bronaugh providing the perspective of students at Salmo Secondary.

It was amazing to have this in-person event where students and staff from across the district could share their stories and give insight into Policy 331- Anti-Racism and Cultural Safety. This was a first step for this year's team, in an iterative process, with many great ideas coming from the brainstorming of the working group.

Salmo Secondary is committed to this work and will continue to support the district in making our spaces safe for all students.
