Champion Lakes Team Building
On Sept 6th, the first Friday of school, Salmo Secondary School staff and students attended the annual Champion Lakes team building field trip.
One of the main goals of the day is to help integrate our new grade 7 students into the culture of the school. With a focus on creating strong relationships and connections with staff and the older students, the grade 7s were split into 5 groups and paired with older students in the school.
This year’s grad class was in full attendance and did an incredible job meeting and connecting with the new students. Staff organized and led several team building games and spent time with students they normally wouldn’t teach.
The activities and field trip aligns with our school and district goals around caring and inclusive learning culture.
It was a great day for all!
