Kootenay Cross Country Zone Championships at Salmo Ski Hill - Go Falcons!

Salmo Secondary hosted the Kootenay Cross Country Zone Championships at the Salmo Ski Hill on October 27.

Teams from all over the province attended - from Fernie to Nakusp, Kaslo to Rossland.

The event hosted over 130 runners who competed in wet, cold conditions - perfect for cross country running.

The highlight for Salmo Secondary was that our Junior Boys team qualified in second, earning a berth in the Provincial High School Championships in Abbotsford on November 7. We will be taking our seven team runners to race against the best in the province.

Congratulations to each runner who took part, and many thanks to staff, volunteers and the Salmo Ski Hill for supporting the event.

Go Falcons!
